Maria Chunga holds a Master of Arts in Development Studies and a Bachelor of Arts in Public Administration obtained from Chancellor College, the University of Malawi.
Before joining IPOR as a research associate in 2018, Maria worked as an Administrative Officer at the Office of President and Cabinet (OPC) and later as a part-time Lecturer in the Political and Administrative Studies (PAS) department as well as in Media for Development Studies at Chancellor College. She also worked as a research associate at Wadonda Consult Limited.
Maria has worked on various studies including the Evaluation of IFC Outgrower Programme, the Malawi Election Survey (2019) and the Malawi Public School Survey. She is competent in both quantitative and qualitative research designs.
