We conducted a four-day enumerator training for the Supply and Demand of Women in Politics study in collaboration with Aarhus University in Denmark mid-May 2024. The study investigated factors influencing women's political representation, while at the same time, explored potential strategies to enhance gender inclusivity in politics.
One of our priority areas during the training was to ensure that our enumerators are fully equipped to conduct the research professionally and ethically. Our goal is to ensure that we conduct research without deception or any harm to our respondents.
Speaking during the training, our Data Manager, Jacob Saikolo, emphasized IPOR’s commitment to ethical research that guarantees privacy, entrenches trust and preserves integrity.
Through the Women in Politics study, we collected data from 2,200 respondents from Nsanje, Mulanje, Dedza and Mulanje districts.
