IPOR worked with FHI 360 and the International Center for Not-for-Profit Law (ICNL) on the 2019 CSO Sustainability Index report for Malawi. Released in September, the report highlights the legal environment, organizational capacity, financial capacity, advocacy, and other factors affecting the work of CSOs in Malawi. The report shows a slight improvement in the following areas of Malawi CSO sustainability from the 2018 report: Advocacy Service provision, and Public image Sustainability was impeded in two areas: Legal environment Financial viability There were no changes in the following areas Organizational capacity Sectoral infrastructure
