As part of the Malawi Higher Education Portfolio Assessment, the Institute of Public Opinion and Research (IPOR) is conducting surveys for the quantitative component of an Endline evaluation of Strengthening Higher Education Access in Malawi Activity (SHEAMA) from October 2022. SHEAMA is being managed by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Mission in Malawi and focuses on improving access to higher education, strengthening institutional capacity by enhancing quality of options for delivery of education, and strengthening linkages between higher education institutions and other stakeholders.
The
SHEAMA Endline evaluation is a collaboration of IPOR and the University of
Notre Dame (UND) SHEAMA has been supporting short course,
diploma and degree programs in five public universities namely: Mzuzu
University (MZUNI), Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources
(LUANAR), University of Malawi (UNIMA), Malawi University of Business and
Applied Sciences (MUBAS), and Malawi University of Science and Technology
(MUST).
